Here at iControls, we are proud of the outstanding community of System Integrators who are consistently growing their knowledge and expertise of the Ignition platform.
We like to recognise those individuals and companies who achieve significant steps in their Ignition journey. To this end, we’d like to take this opportunity to celebrate Chris Ong from Pivotal Engineering as he achieves his first Ignition Certification from Inductive University.
Chris Ong might love good food, coffee and basketball, but when it comes to work, he’s serious about challenging himself as a Control Systems Engineer with Pivotal Engineering.
When the Director of Technology at Pivotal decided to give Chris all the training he needed to stay on top of the industry, he opened up the world of Inductive University. A self-confessed curious learner, Chris never looked back, and has just been awarded the first step in his Ignition learning journey: Ignition 8.1 CORE Certification.
Chris graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.) (Mechatronics, Hons.) in 2014 and worked in the Automotive Industry in Munich, Germany for the first 4 years of his career. He has been with Pivotal since the end of October last year, signing on a casual contractor and converting to a permanent employee in March 2021. He says,
‘I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Inductive University interactive learning platform and think that the Core Competencies Test was really well structured to test my abilities! Ignition is super easy to learn and to implement on your system.’
He goes on to say,
‘What makes Pivotal a great company to work for is the down-to-earth management team, the many opportunities I get to work for different clients and take ownership of my work, and the abundance of training and direction given to me to allow myself to constantly develop personally and professionally!’
It sounds like Pivotal is just as happy with Chris!
